At the heart of Janáe is its founder, Kaleigh, whose love for fashion began as a young girl sketching gowns and dreaming of faraway places. She pursued fashion design not simply as a craft, but as a language, an art form that allows stories to be worn, not just told. Her background in design gave her the technical knowledge, but it was her travels that gave her soul the inspiration it needed.

Europe became her muse. From wandering the streets of Paris and studying the way light falls on centuries-old architecture, to discovering artisans in Florence who still work with leather by hand, to afternoons spent in the lush gardens of Versailles, each experience left a mark. These travels taught her that fashion is more than clothing: it is culture, history, and memory woven together.
